Kiss your friends (and tell them you love them)
by Cheska Brown

There is a certain type of love that can only be found on grimy bathroom floors, at the bottom of a wilting jar of lilies, or between the cracks of Cuba Street’s pavements. “Kiss your friends (and tell them you love them)” is a letter in preemptive nostalgia to four years of friendship lived in Te Whanganui-a-Tara.

With each page holding the pulse of the city in its hands, Cheska Brown captures the dichotomy of energy that is both Wellington city and friendship in your 20s. At times, it is loud - tearing down streets, scantily clad, then at others it is soft - a table laid with food and a kiss on arrival.
